The concretium orbital defense tower can be built as a standalone building or as part of the „concretium fortifications".
This tower is the model that brought me into building terrain for epic or in this case legions imperialis. I started over a year ago with the idea to have a defensive tower, that can be extended with a mechanism and that reveals a huge orbital or anti titan cannon. This project was a constant stop and goand i took several breaks and used many elements of the design to sculpt all the other buildings and tiles of the concretium range. Now after more than a year it finally works and i couldn't be happier.
It can be built in a static or in a moving configuration:
- static version can be build in retracted or expanded configuration
- moving version includes a gearbox (24 parts) which allows the dome to extend or retract
- 3x different panels to change the look of the tower
- 1x panel to integrate the tower into , concretium fortifications"
- 5x small detailed supplementarv elements (also included in „concretium fortifications"| that should be printed in resin (supported and unsupported)
- 1x pdf spreadsheet with all parts
- 1x pdf building instructions
The model is cut in a way to print without supports and achive great results on fam printers. The parts of the gearbox have been tested extensively to get it run as smooth as possible. All parts are designed with printer tolerances in mind. Since the accuracy can depend on how well the printer is set up or how the model is sliced there might be some additional work like sanding to have it run perfectly.
