"For as long as Jas-peer traveled with Master Orion, the bard has never opened the cello case. For some reason, they knew that the subject was never to be discussed. The innkeepers in the towns that the pair traveled through would sometimes offer to give them free lodging in return for a performance, but the master always had some reason why there would be no show that night, and paid in coin instead.
Whenever Jas-peer was asked to carry the case, they noted that the weight never seemed to be the same, and sometimes the contents seemed to shift unexpectedly. Apprenticeship completed, Jas-peer left for battle school, still wondering what was really inside the case. "
