Wizard Library Bookshelf – Modular Fantasy Stl

To make the wizard library more authentic and recognizable, I designed these old bookshelves made from wooden planks that have definitely seen better days. I wanted the wood to look old and used, like somebody hammered these planks together a long time ago. All the planks have little cracks, holes and imperfections, and because the books are heavy and have probably been sitting there for years, some of the shelves are bent to give a feeling of weight.

I also made the shelf in a version without a back wall, so you can place it directly against a wall and let the wall behind it show through. That way it blends much better into dungeon rooms, libraries or other interiors instead of always looking like a separate piece of furniture.

PRINTABILITY

The shelf comes in separate parts with and without supports, so you can decide for yourself how you want to build and print it. The books are always separate as well, which gives you more freedom when putting everything together.

To all FDM'ers: I recommend a 0.2 mm nozzle to get the nice details from both the shelf and the books. With a 0.08 mm layer height and supports enabled, you should get a decent result.

A little tip from me: When I use Bambu Studio, I usually increase the Top Z Distance a little bit to make the supports easier to remove. For example, if Top Z Distance and Bottom Z Distance are both set to 0.08 mm, I might change the Top Z Distance to around 0.10 mm. You will have to experiment a bit with this setting depending on your printer, but it can make support removal much easier.

To all Resin'ers: This model is of course a great fit for resin. With all the little details on the books and the wood, everything should come out really nicely.

WHAT CAN YOU USE IT FOR?

You can use the shelf as a small eyecatcher in your wizard library, dungeon room, mage tower, diorama or battlefield.

It works great for fantasy interiors, RPG scenery, tabletop terrain and display scenes. Because the books are separate, you can also arrange them however you like and give the shelf your own look.
