Officially Extinct in 1852.

The Great Auk was a large flightless bird that was once found in the North Atlantic Ocean, from the coasts of Canada to Europe.

Great auks were excellent swimmers and divers, with their wings being modified into flippers for underwater propulsion. They primarily fed on fish, squid, and crustaceans, and lived in large colonies on rocky islands.

Unfortunately, the great auk was hunted extensively for its meat, eggs, and feathers, as well as for use in museum collections. This led to a rapid decline in their population, and the last known pair was killed in 1844.

Model includes a Pre-supported version.

The model is sized for 1:20 of the actual size. You can reduce or enlarge the model using the slicing software if you need a different size.

Pre-supported model is oriented to minimize supports to the face and other high-detail parts. Care should be taken when removing the supports to avoid damaging the model.
