Description
Tarbosaurus, a formidable theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period, lived approximately 70 million years ago in what is now Mongolia.
This apex predator, closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex, measured up to 12 meters (39 feet) in length and weighed around 4-5 tons.
Characterized by its massive skull, powerful jaws, and sharp teeth, Tarbosaurus had a robust body and relatively short, muscular arms.
It inhabited the diverse ecosystems of the Nemegt Formation, preying on large herbivorous dinosaurs.
