Description
Mixosaurus cornalianus was a small to medium-sized ichthyosaur from the Middle Triassic period, known for its transitional features between early and advanced ichthyosaurs.
It had an elongated body, a narrow snout, and a mix of lizard-like and fish-like traits, making it a highly adaptable marine predator.
Fossil evidence suggests it had both short, paddle-like limbs for maneuverability and a tail suited for propulsion.
Mixosaurus cornalianus likely fed on fish and cephalopods, thriving in the warm, shallow seas of the Triassic
