Avrean Scorpions - Ancient Roman Warmachines

This is one of the most iconic Ancient Roman war machines, able to shoot long darts, stones or metal balls. There are two versions of it, as well as the rack, bolts and a "ready to be carried" version. These kind of objects make fortifications more alive and interactive - if a war machine is there, I as a player would do anything I could to go and use it! - but they are not useful only for that. What about a party following a thug inside what they think is an empty warehouse just to find it stacked with heavy weaponry such as these machines? To whom would this shipment be destined? What would the party do with access to that much weaponry (and/or dark wealth if sold?). I like putting plot lines that feel contemporary in a fantasy world to challenge my friends at the table, and captivate their interest!
