Description

Part of Tribes and Patreon July 2026 release.

This set is a bundle that contains:

- Farm Pens and Garden Dry Wall - Modular Scatter Terrain

- Farm Animal Pens Objects and Props

- Farm Vegetable Garden Plants

- Scarecrows Set

All the models are test printed in resin and presupported when needed.

- Farm Pens Structure and Garden Walls. The main body of the release is this high detailed and multiple functions set. With the wood walls you can build any stable, pen, wood shack, tools shed and the like. There are exterior and interior walls in case you want to make more complex structures and, as usual, they come with a Playability Split version, which also gives them the extra option of building half stone half wood walls (more on that below).

There is also a small fence set that can be combined with the open walls to create the look that most stables have, from where farmers - or characters in stealth - can glance at the animals going about their day (unless they are distracted by those intruders, of course!). These fences have working doors made of planks that can be slotted in place.

The second parts - and to me even more interesting - of this set are the modular stone walls. They can be used to make more rustic structures, they can be combined with the wood walls above or with the fence, and they can even be used as is to make garden walls roadside paths, small fortifications, terracing fields, and more! One use that keeps coming back to mind is to place them on the battlefield to represent ruins - there are ruined bits for this purpose too - of buildings of which only the first stones remain. They could work in any environment with just a slightly different paint job. The system to join them to the wood walls will show the holes for the channels, but to avoid that you can cover them with the toppers or caps shown in the renders (more on all of this in the instructions).

Finally, the roofs! These are very simple, but also very effective. They come in two versions: wood or hay. Both require glue to assembly and both are meant to work just by placing them on top of the structures. They have "roof base" pieces that will make them work at the right angle, and you'll be able to remove them during play to show what's inside with ease. If you'd rather having them more solid, you can always glue them to the roof bases mentioned above. The hay of these roofs uses the same texture style of the barn (and will definitely not be printable in FDM), while the wooden one has a more ramshackle look, with roof weights to hold the planks down (and together if you glue them in place). For the magnetization and rod system all the info in the instructions. A very rough door and a few windows that can be glued in place complete the look of these structures.

Given its versatility, I think this set will get a lot of mileage on tables. Also, it uses a simple system, but it makes it possible to build complex structures (e.g. the double roof stable in the render). There is a lot of room to play with and to adjust them to your maps and needs!

- Farm Pens Objects and Props. Sacks were missing from the Barn set, so I put a lot here, plus more gardening and farm tools, buckets, rough benches, pumpkins, onions cabbage, the animal troughs and - the best part - dung! I just can't wait for players to slip head first in one of those - or maybe some demonic flies are gathering around what's usually a mundane part of every farm. What if a horse ate the ring of the heir to the local baron. It slipped in the hay as he was dismounting back from the hunt and nobody noticed! Only one place where it could have ended up now... and the characters have to find it! Well, if these ideas are too far fetched, they will still work to bring life and immersion to your farms :)

- Vegetable Garden Plants. They are extremely detailed and some of the most complex models to design I have made so far. I had a long array of farm plants I wanted to sculpt, and I ended up with those that I felt would look best 3D printed, although there are some crazy ones! You can find two kinds of cabbages - just for the extra variety - pumpkin plants, onions and rosemary (which can be used to represent most herbs or farm related bushes). The list could have gone on and on, but I think this is a great place to start. They are larger than they should, of course, for better printability, but I don't think that's a bad thing: if you play in a fantasy world, after all, you can invent your own gigantic version of real world plants - and inspired by that I made those two version of the cabbages too. I think the pointy one especially could be used as some plant trap or hazard in other context too. With some creative paint job this set can extend to so many different settings and functions :)

These have bases of weaved branches, but they can be placed directly on the (battle)fields as, for example, the wheat from the Barn release did. Patches without plants are also given in the set for before-after effects and to show abandoned vegetable gardens, or ones that were recently sown.

If we come back to a similar release in the future there are a few more plants that I'd like to design (Olive Trees? Vineyards?), but time ran out, so that's for another one!

Scarecrows Set - Three different bodies with five head options from which you can switch: they are kind of creepy, but a proper scarecrow must! I am pretty sure PCs will take three or four extra looks at those sickles and scythe, just to be sure they don't start moving when the sun is down...

I gave them those old farm tools in hand for extra character, but you can always cut them and glue basically whatever prop you want in their place. The small wood trunk base is there to help them stand on a magnetized field. Otherwise these are meant to be glued to some ground patch or base: I didn't want to put a blob at the bottom there to keep them more versatile.
