A standing portrait miniature of Robert the Bruce, King of Scots — one of the most significant figures in medieval Scottish history and a central commander of the Scottish Wars of Independence.

This model depicts him in great helm and full chainmail, a crowned heraldic crest topped with a seated lion mounted above the helm, and a heater shield bearing the royal arms of Scotland — the rampant lion within a double tressure. He stands resting on a sword with a second sword sheathed at his side, in a calm, composed stance befitting a king rather than a battlefield action pose.

A little history:
Robert the Bruce (1274–1329) became King of Scots in 1306 and led Scotland through years of warfare against English rule, culminating in the decisive Scottish victory at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. His campaign secured de facto Scottish independence, later formally recognised by England in the Treaty of Edinburgh–Northampton in 1328. He remains one of Scotland's most celebrated monarchs and a defining figure of the Wars of Scottish Independence.
