Karakulak and his cheta (from Bulgarian - gang) are based on traditional clothing from Bulgaria's history. The Haiduti were a rebel army that fought against Ottoman rule during the 500-year enslavement of Bulgaria. While seen as bandits, in our history they are heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of their country. I hope to be able to provide models that do justice to their sacrifice and am considering larger scales, as well, so I can dive into more detail.
