It's 150 years in the future and space exploration is a commerical enterprise. Pioneer teams are sent out to habitable planets to conduct in person research of the natural resources, and to set up working settlements for colonists to arrive. Many planets are simply mined for profit and others are colonised - space is now big business!
The Helikon is an Orbital Lander that belongs to the largest space exploration company on earth - Mountain Stronghold Corp. They have a fleet of these incredible ships which are designed to trasnport people and resources back and forth between the a new planets surface and the starship in orbit around the planet. The ship can move from the vacuum of space and through atompshere to make a precision landing on the surface. Large, flexible landing gear allow it to land on slightly uneven surfaces and powerful rocket engines allow to it transport massive items, such as the Habitation Unit.
This downloadable STL miniature is huge! It comes in over 33 pieces, with the main structural piece all being the size of a standard Mars build plate. You print most of the pieces hollow, but once assembled, it still weighs 1.4kg. It's a showcase miniature to print & paint and use in your sci-fi wargames and RPGs.
The Helikon Orbital Lander has been thoroughly print tested, so you can simply slice & go! You will receive both the unsupported and pre-supported files in the download.
