The Broken Chip storyline:
The Broken Chip Bar & Casino is one of the oldest destinations in Lower Dorn. Utterly ingrained into the psyche of the grimy undercity, there are few who haven't been through its doors and fewer still who haven't lost their earnings to its games! The owner of the Broken Chip, Evangelina Sharp, is as mean as they come. A cutthroat businesswoman who has managed to keep the casino profitable and bustling despite its less than desirable location and patronage.
The free Grog draws in the gamblers and drinkers, who inevitably spend all their money on the hard spirits and chips. The atmosphere can be intoxicating, with narcotics dealers peddling free samples in exchange for cutting Evangelina in on their profits. Just enough people win big at the machines to keep everyone returning, desperate for their lucky day, and willing to lose everything to get it. Everyone pays their debts to the Chip though. If you can’t pay in coin, the Broken Chip’s owner will notoriously take other methods of payment. You’ve heard the saying ‘I’d give my right arm…’
