Hello everyone! After a lot of hard work, this model is finally available. The design is split into parts to make printing much easier, avoid excessive supports, and guarantee a clean assembly.
This display frame is 100% optimized for collectors: you can insert your card (with its sleeve) through the top and slide it out effortlessly without damaging it.
Files Included:
.3MF File: Includes the complete set of parts with pre-adjusted configurations and tolerances (I usually print in PETG). Note: If you use PLA or another material, please check and modify the shrinkage tolerances in your slicer if necessary.
.STL Files: All parts separated, ready for single-color printing or for building your own project from scratch.
️ IMPORTANT NOTE ("KAIBA CORPORATION" Sign): Due to the scale and very thin thickness of the lettering, the "KAIBA CORPORATION" text piece is designed to be printed preferably in resin to capture all details. If you use FDM, it is only recommended if you have a 0.2 mm nozzle installed and properly calibrated in your slicer.
Slicer & Formats:
.3MF File (Bambu Studio): The project comes complete and organized into multiple print plates, with all my settings, tolerances, and color assignments ready to go. I usually print in PETG; if you use PLA or another material, please adjust the parameters accordingly. The profile is optimized for Bambu Studio, though compatibility with other slicers is possible (if incompatibility occurs, parameters will need to be adjusted manually).
.STL Files: Ideal for those not looking for a multicolor print.
Nozzle Size: All files are optimized to be printed with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle.
Tolerances: If you slice from scratch using the .stl files, you need to adjust a -0.15 mm tolerance on the logo piece to ensure a proper fit. (Note: If you use the .3mf file, this adjustment is already optimized and ready).
Orientation & Color: In the .3mf file, the parts are strategically oriented to achieve two things: first, ensure the plate texture faces the front of the frame; and second, drastically optimize AMS color changes to minimize waste and time.
Supports (Base): Both in the .3mf and the base .stl, it is possible to orient the piece to print without supports. However, for the multicolor version, I recommend keeping the orientation from the included .3mf to save time and filament purging during color changes.
Support Tip: I highly recommend using an interface filament for supports (e.g., using PETG as a support interface for PLA, or vice versa). This will give you a completely smooth contact surface.
Print Test: This design was successfully printed and validated on a Bambu Lab A1.
