In October 1805, HMS Mars fought in the battle of Trafalgar. On board the ship, a total of 615 men. During the battle, it was severely damaged by both the Spanish and French ships of the coalition led by Villeneuve. At the end of the day they lost 29 men, including their captain, George Duff, and 69 wounded.
