HMS Ajax was a British 74-gun, two-bridge ship-of-the-line of the eponymous class built at the Rotherhithe shipyard between 1795 and 1798. Commissioned for the Royal Navy, she served in the Napoleonic campaign in Egypt and Syria and in the battles of Cape Finisterre and Trafalgar. After Trafalgar, she was deployed in the blockade of the city of Cadiz.
