Description

Highly detailed model of the Begleitpanzer 57 AIFSV (Armored Infantry Fire Support Vehicle), a unique German prototype developed by Thyssen-Henschel and Bofors in 1977. This specialized escort vehicle combined the proven Marder chassis with a powerful Bofors 57mm L/70 naval cannon and TOW missile system for versatile fire support capabilities.

An essential addition to any Cold War prototype collection, German experimental armor display, or specialized military vehicle showcase. The distinctive asymmetric turret with dual armament systems immediately sets this apart from conventional armored vehicles.

• Accurate representation of the Begleitpanzer 57 with full 57mm cannon and TOW missile launcher

• Multi-part kit with optimized component separation:
— Asymmetric turret with Bofors 57mm cannon and external TOW launcher
— Modified Marder hull with accurate dimensions
— Individual track runs for realistic detail
— 57mm cannon with autoloader mechanism (-8° to +45° elevation)
— External TOW missile launcher with guidance system
— Commander's hatch with angle mirrors and periscope
— Gunner's hatch with night vision and laser rangefinder
— External equipment and battlefield accessories

• Recommended scale range: 1/144 up to 1/48 (ideal detail-to-printability ratio)
• Pushable to 1/32 — possible but not recommended due to wall thickness limitations on fine details
• Default file scale is 1/100, easily converted to desired output scale
• Compatible with SLA/Resin printing for high-detail results; FDM possible at larger scales

Printability:
• Designed for intermediate to advanced modellers
• Files are separated to hull, tracks, turret, gun, TOW launcher and smaller parts
• Hull and turret split for easy hollow printing and weight reduction
• Cannon and missile launcher components pre-sized for proper alignment
• Small parts (antennae, optics, tools) sized for their respective scales
•Manual supports needed on most resin printers for major components
• Assembly instructions: install tracks, attach turret, mount cannon and TOW system, add detail parts last

Whether you're building a Cold War prototype collection, German experimental armor display, or documenting specialized fire support vehicles, the Begleitpanzer 57 brings unique dual-armament capabilities and distinctive prototype presence to your collection.
