The T-55 has been in service for over 70 years and is reportedly the most produced tank in history.
Both of these factors have lead it to have featured in pretty much every conflict since the second world war.
Although aging, the T-55 is still present throughout much of the Middle East and Africa. It has seen wide usage in Syria in the hands of the Syrian army and rebel factions.
More recently, the Russian army has been seen deploying T-55s as an infantry support vehicle, where its 105mm cannon has been effective when employed in a similar way to a BMP-2 or other IFV.
It's armour and systems are quite dated when compared to modern Main Battle Tanks, but still offers a good amount of protection when facing less well supplied or unprepared infantry.
Painted model is an early prototype and the final model may differ, but includes a DShK.
