This set features Lady Jane Grey, the grand-niece of Henry VIII of England and cousin to his son, Edward VI. After Edward's death, Jane was proclaimed queen, but her reign only lasted nine days as Mary Tudor claimed the throne with the support of the English people.

Jane, her husband Lord Guilford Dudley, and her father were imprisoned in the Tower of London on charges of high treason. Although Jane's death penalty was temporarily suspended, she was ultimately beheaded at the young age of 16, along with her husband and father.
