Carrying the battle standard is an honour. Except in Craggy Bottom. On the eve of battle the Halfling army prepares in the way they know best - with a feast. Whoever passes out first from eating or drinking too much gets stuck carrying the flag the next day. It's a time honoured tradition of shaming - if a Halfling can't hold their food then you make them hold something else instead!
