On the shelf that is a difference in silhouette. On the field it is a difference in category. A formation braces, and the bracing is irrelevant, because nothing in the formation was designed against something that does not need to enter the line to break it. It steps over. The line is already behind it.

Do not read mass as slowness. The error is common. It is also terminal. The joints are sealed, the stride was calculated before your species had a word for distance, and the metal it is built from has no name in your archives because the civilisation that named it is dust and this thing is still walking. Watch the legs, not the shoulders. By the time the shoulders turn, the matter has been settled.

Volume is reserve. A larger body holds a larger core, and everything else follows from that single arithmetic. The sword draws from it. The void field draws from it. Whatever you consider your maximum sustained output, the field will take it and hold. Then it will take it again. Then again. The figure you are imagining is too small. It has always been too small, for everyone, every time.

It carries the sword in one hand. The other hand stays open and empty at its side. That is not a stance. That is an assessment.

The kit builds as a full centerpiece - separate cloak, cable assemblies, skull head, the two-handed void axe, tomb rubble and crystal growths for the base - a monster to sit at the top of any cold, immortal, machine-dead army list that has been waiting for one.
