Khurasan (also called Greater Khorasan) was a historical region in east, encompassing parts of modern afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and select areas of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
First named Khurasan by the Sassanian Empire of Persia, the area was conquered successively by the white huns (also called the Hephalites) and then the Ummayads after the Muslim conquests.
This set represents heavy cavalry raised from the area, characterized by lammelar armor protecting both horse and rider. There are options for lance, bow, and swords, with a shield also included.
