light mortars used by the Joseon Army, these Jung-Wan'gu were manouered field-grade weapons. Made from cast iron, a shaped stone sphere would be placed in the bowl of the mortar, which would then be primed with gunpowder from the rear before being fired with a linstock.
These mortars were often mounted on small carts or placed angled in dug-out holes in the earth to absorb recoil forces.
