The Epic History Battle system is played on a board made up of 5 cm square tiles. You can get
the physical version of the game mat (battlemat) on the website.
For the more dedicated enthusiasts, you also have the option to print the modular game
board that we offer.
Comprised of interlocking grids and tiles, this game board can be printed on any 3D printer,
preferably FDM. Even though the EHB game board measures 18x12 tiles, there's nothing stopping you from printing fewer tiles to start playing or simply creating a diorama to showcase your collection !
Grid system :
The interlocking grid is very simple to print and comes in several formats (1x1, 4x2, 3x3, and
4x4), but feel free to modify the file before printing. This grid will ensure the stability and connectivity of the scenery tiles, allowing you to create the battlefield.
Thanks to the shape of the tiles, they lock into the grid and are very stable, allowing you to modify your game board between each game while keeping it nice-looking, stable, and with a visible grid for playing with the EHB system.
To connect the grids, simply print the double or triple tiles and place them across two grids. This will ensure your terrain is very stable!
3D printing tips
All the scenery and accessories for Epic History Battle are designed to be printed in FDM, with
a layer height of 200 microns and an infill density between 7% and 15%. Most of the scenery has also been designed to be printed quickly. Therefore, there are few very small details that could have made these pieces more realistic, but nothing prevents you from adding them during painting. The standard empty tile, measuring 5 cm on each side, is intended to receive flocking to beautify your game board. Here is a quick overview of the existing tiles.
Painting handle :
To make painting the tiles easier, we have also created a
painting handle that allows you to insert a tile, securely locking it inside. This facilitates handling in all directions during painting.
