The 5 Points - Concerned Citizens

When the law fails and the gangs run wild, some of the Five Points’ “upstanding citizens” take matters into their own hands. The League of Concerned Citizens began as a neighborhood watch — the butcher, the barber, the barkeep, the schoolmistress — but quickly turned into something far more dangerous.

Under the leadership of their self-appointed chairman Mr Copperpot, the League meets by lamplight to plan raids, “clean-ups” and retribution. Their truncheons and pistols are as sharp as their moral outrage, and once the masks go on, there’s little to tell them apart from the very criminals they claim to oppose. In the Five Points, good intentions bleed just as red.
