Victoria Asquith provides the nocturnal entertainment for the crucible’s patrons, exclusively taking her battles under moon and torchlight. In truth, she is a Thrasliche vampire, sating her thirst through the consistent crucible of combat, never truly fearing that she will find her end in the arena. Whilst some in the arena are aware of her condition, it is an extremely closely guarded secret, for the adoration and gold that flows through the gates by her fans far outweighs the risk she poses.
One of the longest running combatants of the Crucible, Victoria Asquith has fought in its walls for over a decade, earning her place as Grand Champion twice in those years. In that time, she has retained her youthful energy that has cemented her as a fan favourite. Her performance both in and out of the arena garners her a great number of followers who would gladly throw themselves at her, even if they were aware of her condition. For Victoria is a Thrasliche Vampire, bound to no will but her own, using the Arena as a means to constantly sate her hunger.
For a decade she has done this, worrying when some might notice that even in her alleged thirties she still looks as sprightly as she did the first day she walked into the arena. With some makeup and glamour she tries to paint a facade of slightly aging, but feels it may not be convincing. There are those within the Crucible who are aware of her condition, but the list is short and closely guarded. None have yet spilled the secret, nor would they for fear of what repercussions it might have on themselves, and the Crucible at large for knowingly hosting a vampire combatant.
Victoria’s fighting style befits her lithe form, striking with a rapier in quick strikes, building to a bloody ravage that leaves her foes with more blood out of their body than in. In the wake of fighting she wipes her blood-soaked clothes and sword with an absorbent cloth, wringing it out into vials for her to later drink. It has become second nature to her now, and she has long since learnt to stave off the more bestial moments that might overtake her in hunger, for she now sees battle as her meal time, more than a fight for survival. None yet have emerged who could truly challenge her anyway, for she holds back her true power in all her fights.
