They were brothers in the same order, once. The Wolf and the Lion. Two halves of the old hunting rite — one taught to wait, one taught to charge. Then the order broke, and the brothers chose different doors.
Hungar took the loud one.
He carries no axe, no hammer, no oath of patience. Two short blades, kept close. The lion-mask was forged from the skull of the beast that killed his father — he wears it inverted, jaw open, because he wants the dead thing to watch every kill it could not finish.
They say he is the fastest hunter the Ossarium has ever sworn in. They also say he never reaches the trophy first — because he is already past it, looking for the next one.
The fifth hunter of the Ossarium has joined the hunt. A new chapter begins.
