Tiefling Lunar Priestess - Violet Moonridge

A Priestess of Glanbeli who considers her worship to be done through the tides. She is currently on a pilgrimage across the seas of Tharador, but found herself trapped in Westlook after her vessel was damaged in a storm. In the morning, the ship had departed, so it seemed, and she was left trapped in the town. That was only days ago, and the town has begun to unnerve her. She hopes to be able to leave soon, before things turn more dire.

Worshippers of the Moon are rare to come by beyond the Glanbelite Drow of Lo Fuin. Those few sects that do exist, are generally nomadic or live in cloistered shrines and temples through the wilderness, rather than bustling cities. Violet was raised in such a sect, her mother Roliah watering the seeds of Glanbeli’s love in her heart from the time that she was a young girl, yet that love blossomed greater than it ever would within Roliah’s. Violet found herself in constant prayer to the Moon, speaking to Glanbeli as if she were a close friend, or a sister. But most of all, Violet felt closest to Glanbeli in the tides. By the shores under the full moon as her pull lapped waves upon the shore. That was when she spoke to Violet the clearest, offering her the most guidance.

When Violet was a young woman, their sect was attacked one eve, amidst a trancing prayer. Though the attackers, believed to be cultists of a dark god, were fended off, they captured several members of the sect: Violet’s mother among them. She still searches for her this day, hoping that Glanbeli might guide her to her mother. She has sought to follow a pilgrimage she has devised herself, travelling to various shores across Tharador, in hopes she may stand in the waters beneath the light of a full moon, and have Glanbeli answer her prayer for guidance.

Currently, the journey has come to an abrupt halt, with the passenger ship Violet was aboard bound for Sudd Tohst being damaged in a storm. The ship docked at the remote town of Westlook for repairs, but by morning it had departed, leaving Violet stranded in the town. Yet here, she feels a tug from Glanbeli that she has never felt before: a warning. Danger. An evil hangs over the town, Violet can feel it, but not yet see it. She only hopes she can stave it off until the full moon, and call to her goddess for advice thereafter, so she might unveil the evil hidden before her eyes, or light the path for her to flee this dire place.
