Description
Dread-Bat Prince is a living nightmare legend, broken free from the Abyss like a winged horror from the very heart of darkness, born to spread terror, hunt down prey, and feed upon the death-fear of human souls. To his enemies, he is not merely a monster and not merely a fallen knight, but an embodied night-terror: a spirit that found flesh in the material world so it could return again and again to its beloved craft — the hunt. Wherever he appears, lights die, vox-signals drown in whispers, and even the bravest feel the predator’s gaze upon them before they ever see his silhouette. One death is not enough for him, nor one victory, nor one scream. Dread-Bat Prince feeds on panic itself, and so his hunger is never sated.
Once, he was a paladin, first among his order, a warrior who brought righteous punishment to the enemies of common people. In those days, his name was spoken with reverence, and his blade was seen as an instrument of justice. But with every decade of war, something within him changed. Punishment became more important than justice. Fear became more useful than mercy. With each new campaign, his methods grew more brutal and more refined, until there was no longer any difference between knight and executioner. Where he had once protected the weak, he now left mutilated remains as warnings. Where a paladin once stood, a prince of terror was born.
When DreadLord’s squad was launched onto the enemy vessel for their act of sabotage, many believed that Dread-Bat Prince would become their highest patron and first hunter of the mission. But the temporal catastrophe chose otherwise. While the fallen knights were dragged into the loop and later cast into Mastermind’s laboratory, the Prince himself remained aboard the cursed ship, lost somewhere between frozen seconds, emergency lights, and unfinished slaughter. Yet his brothers do not believe this means his death. On the contrary, they are certain that even such a trap cannot destroy one who has long been more spirit than flesh. If the ship still wanders through the darkness of time, then Dread-Bat Prince is still there as well: hunting through empty decks, carving through survivors, drinking their terror, and waiting for the moment when the Abyss opens the path for him again. And if he ever returns, he will not come as a lost lord, but as night itself, finally finding its way home.
