Roman Centurion

Model: ROM004

Scale: 1/30

Finish: Matte

This commanding 1/30 scale figure portrays a Roman Centurion, the battle-hardened officer responsible for leading a Century of approximately 80–90 Legionaries. Recognized by the distinctive transverse horsehair crest atop his helmet, the Centurion stood at the front of his men, expected to lead from the front in both discipline and combat.

Unlike many of his soldiers who wore lorica segmentata armor, this Centurion is equipped with a protective chain mail vest, reflecting variations in officer equipment. He carries a detailed rectangular scutum shield adorned with bold Roman insignia and stands ready with sword drawn, embodying the authority and battlefield presence of Rome’s professional army.

Centurions were the backbone of the Roman Legion’s structure and effectiveness, maintaining order, training troops, and directing formations under fire. Their prominent position in battle meant casualty rates were often high, creating frequent vacancies among these respected ranks.

Finished in rich matte tones with finely sculpted armor detail, shield artwork, and historically inspired equipment, this piece serves as a focal point for Roman Legion displays, ancient battlefield dioramas, and classical military collections.
