Richard the Lionheart
Outnumbered, with Jaffa fallen, Richard I chose attack over retreat. From the prow of his warship, he rallied just 50 knights and led a direct assault onto the beaches in one of the most daring moments of the Crusades. This piece captures that split second before impact: a king about to leap into the surf.
Sculpted primarily at 75mm for strong detail and display presence. The composition is built for impact: clear silhouette, forward momentum, and layered detail that rewards painters.
