They shouldn’t work. They really shouldn’t. But somehow, The Wheels of Sun’s Thief still find their way onto the battlefield—light chariots lashed together from wicker, rope, and blind optimism.
Screeching along on warped wheels, these ramshackle carts are pulled by beasts too wild to tame and too stubborn to stop. There’s no reins, no training, no plan. The only thing keeping them moving in something close to a straight line is a goblin dangling a pig on a stick in front of the beasts. The pig, squealing and flailing, becomes the unwilling compass of this chaos, while the riders cling to the sides, hollering like it’s a festival gone wrong.
The chariots shake, bounce, and occasionally explode on contact with a strong breeze. But while they’re rolling, they’re a menace—cutting through loose lines, scattering archers, and leaving a trail of confusion, wreckage, and bits of pig feed. Their riders shout about “stealing the sun’s legs” or “chasing daylight off the map,” depending on how hard they hit their heads that morning.
They break easy. They get lost often. But when they hit something just right, it’s glorious.
Or at least very, very loud.
