Why did you choose this Kill Team?
For me Kill Team is an excellent opportunity to collect some miniatures not usually found in my collection and create some great background for them. And this is exactly what my Kill Team is about.
The Red Death of Dûriel is a roaming troupe of Harlequins whose task it is to tell the tale of the fall of Valedor. Each has their part play in this tragic story and it is the role of Shadowseer Menahina Ylsa to lead them in their ballad.
As for the players themselves each embodies a major contributor in the conflict that lead to the destruction of Valedor.
What rules options did you use?
The Kill Team's three specialists represent the Eldar forces present; the Troupe Master plays the part of Prince Yriel and is equipped with a power sword and the relic weapon crescendo, and has been given the Eternal Warrior special rule to represent Yriel’s role in the future of the Eldar race.
The second specialist plays the role of Aloec Sunspear, Autarch of Biel-Tan. To represent the warrior nature of Biel-Tan he is equipped with a harlequin’s embrace and has been given the Warrior Adept special rule.
The final specialist plays the role of Lelith Hesperax and to represent her deadly nature she has been given a harlequin’s caress and a neuro disruptor. For her time spent in the gladiatorial arenas she has been given the special rule Murderous Blows. As for the final two players they play the roles of the Hive Fleets Leviathan and Kraken.
How do you plan on using it on the tabletop?
When it comes to using them on the tabletop I plan to split the team into two groups: the Specialist and The Shadowseer with two players. Both will have to close the gap fast as their range is limited but with the clever use of terrain and some distractions from the Shadowseer they should hold their ground against anything my opponent can throw at me.
What models did you use?
To create The Red Death of Dûriel all you will need is the Troupe Master and 4 players from the Harlequin Troupe box as well as a Shadowseer.
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about your Kill Team?
When it comes to painting your Kill Team Warhammer TV have some great video tutorial to help you paint diamonds (it's a lot easer than you think). I also found the Warriors of the Laughing God painting guide really useful when painting mine.
