Product Description:
With a style inspired by the sacred war machines of the 41st millennium, the Caballis pattern is a workhorse medium chassis that fills several battlefield roles. This Mk.1 APC variant trades offensive weapon systems to provide transport capacity. Version 2 of this pattern has a moderately embellished style befitting a vehicle that has seen long service and is now treated as a venerable relic of the long war.
A moderately up-scaled APC model designed to look like it can properly fit a well-equipped unit of ten 28mm models. A basic light turret with three weapon options is included in this initial kit but additional light weapons will be added in the future, free of charge.
Fully assembled model photographs coming soon.
Product information:
This kit is intended for LCD/DLP resin-based 3D printing. This kit includes Unsupported STL files, Pre-supported STL files, and Pre-supported Lychee Slicer files.
All support settings have been carefully tested and all components successfully printed in the studio but feel free to adjust support settings for your specific setup and situation. To ensure high quality reliable 3D prints, components are currently supported with 1.5mm spacing for connection points around edges, 2.5mm grid of connection points to support large flat areas, and a 5mm grid for the proper supports.
Under correct conditions, this kit should print with any ABS-like resin without any issues. For added strength, the studio recommends a resin mix of 10 parts (1000 ml) ABS-like resin with 1 part (100 ml) flexible resin such as Siraya Tech Tenacious Obsidian Black. Without sacrificing detail such a mix will make the entire model far less prone to chipping or breaking.
Design Information:
Models created by Atrum Laboris have a focus on quality before efficiency. The studio takes pride in doing every step of the process personally and makes deliberate design choices to achieve the best possible results from current 3D printing technology. As a result, kits will have a high part count and require rather extensive support structures, especially on larger components. In return the model will be very dimensionally accurate with very high surface quality, model parts will layer to create or enhance negative space, and the vast majority of the damage done by the support touch points will be hidden inside the model during assembly. It takes more effort to design, time to prepare, and some extra materials to print, but the studio believes the results are worth it.
