Return to the world of Dragon Eclipse in this standalone sequel that takes you centuries into the past — before the chaos, before the Eclipse. Step back in time to an era of peace and honor, where tamers strive to prove themselves in the legendary Grand Tournament.
Character: The emergence of the legendary, four-winged Tasandra always portends death and destruction, as no other mystling evokes so much fear. Its talons may pierce the best shield, its armor can withstand the mightiest hits, and its scream is nightmare.
Trivia: As the strongest mystling of metal, Tasandra will join forces with a tamer of truly unique skills and—most likely—dark personality.
Character: Mistrustful Twigfoxes tend to stay away from noisy and crowded places, but should anything catch their attention, a Twigfox begins an investigation. Silent and nimble, a Twigfox will follow a person of interest, looking for weaknesses and getting ready to ambush them.
Trivia: The Twigfoxes have very keen eyesight and an almost perfect memory. They are said to hate shrill sounds, but in some of them, they only trigger vindictiveness.
Character: Although its emotions are impossible to read, many claim that a Felinard is a joker, but a cruel one. In combat, the Felinard will play with its opponent, skillfully dodging all attempts at grappling, and hit them from afar. Its shrill laughter brings nightmares in the dead of the night.
Trivia: Despite their sinister character, Felinards in a pack enjoy playing their own, complicated version of hide-and-seek.
Character: Often disregarded because of their bird size and rather harmless look, a Flamun actually is a threat. A They attack only in a flock, and there is no stopping them, and their mastery at using the element of fire may make the encounter a lethal one.
Trivia: Flamun’s eagerness to frolic is irrepressible, but once taken by joy, they barely control their fire and can do a lot of unwanted damage.
Character: Stemming from the Shadow Realm, Grundies are the fastest in the mystling world, which together with their inborn grace and the ability to make lengthy jumps, makes them ready to take on every enemy. Their biggest flaw is their haughtiness and unwavering trust in their beaks and sharp feathers.
Trivia: Sleep is every Grundy’s favorite type of entertainment. A Grundy wakes up to fight or practice and goes to sleep whenever they are done, being able to sleep on for days.
Character: Despite its cheerful attitude, the Pranceling may use dancing and singing to attract wanderers closer to mess with their minds. Capricious and unpredictable, they may lose their interest in a second and vanish in the underbrush.
Trivia: A popular legend has it that they sleep inside moss-covered caves or even gigantic flowers. Also, they seem to hate storm and any time one breaks out, they shriek with panic.
Character: Reeftiles are said to be the enemies of mankind, and especially sailors, as they erect coral reefs in random places. In truth, they only want to isolate a territory for their offspring. Besides, many seamen admit that a Reeftile led them to safety in a storm.
Trivia: Reeftile do enjoy storms. Even the land-living ones completely lose their minds when thunders begin to clap and break into a wild, incontrollable dance. No tamer may snap them out of it.
Character: Tidos spend most of their time moving, frolicking in the sea, or running on the beach or rocks. They are not scared of people, but so scatter-minded that it is difficult to draw their attention long enough to tame them. Only far away from the flock do they sober up and bond with tamers.
Trivia: Tidos may be much more intelligent than other mystling species. Solitary ones often draw strange geometrical symbols on sandy beaches and protect them until the tide claims them.
Character: In its mature form, a Tido Drosera becomes a solitary, dreamlike being, often compared to a flower or a butterfly. Seemingly inactive, it is fed by its tail which collect the food on its own accord, but it immediately snaps out of the lethargy upon seeing a potential enemy and becomes a lethal opponent.
Trivia: There is a belief that Tido Droseras do not lose their interest in strange geometrical symbols, but think about them all their mature life which occupies them to the point of seeming listless.
Character: In its mature form, a Tido becomes a half-dormant, slow-moving creature, and only its processes stretch toward the sun. For this reason, Tidos do not enjoy shady places and even overcast sky. However, should the need arise, an adult Tido may spring to action as fast as lightning.
Trivia: Mature Tidos inherit their penchant for strange geometrical symbols, but they prefer to draw them in solid rock. Some even insist on protecting them which renders them untameable.
Character: The Renewed Frogmar’s unpredictable nature makes it a difficult companion, but according to a theory, they follow people in hope that someone would organize their chaotic behavior. Usually, they spend their time among hot springs and lava pools.
Trivia: The Renewed Frogmar convene on some nights to perform a complicated dance illuminated by their outbursts. The point of the dance is not clear, but it may have a connection with the star alignment.
Character: Born and raised in the sea, Verendas are born pilgrims and often bond with humans or fae to travel together away from the shores and learn more. Solitary by nature, they quickly learn how to fight back, and their fighting technique so far escapes anyone’s understanding.
Trivia: Verendas have developed a unique ability to hypnotize shoals of fish and make them dance in beautiful patterns.
Character: The Wildfreyrs are vengeful creatures and they often use their tree-based skills to defend their territories. They wage long wars with Elkthorns, interrupted with truces and pacts, and their unique, inexplicable code of communication allows them to sometimes join ranks against human settlers.
Trivia: Wildfreyr have a wide range of shrieks and howls at their disposal, which makes them responsible for many stories about haunted forests.
Character: Lightning-throwing Yalices are as mad as the storm, and there is no pattern in their behavior. The older they get, the more erratic they become. However, they are not hostile or vindictive—to them everything is a part of their strange, chaotic game.
Trivia: Taming a Yalice is a hard, time-consuming process since the tamer must patiently alleviate and sort out the chaos inside the mystling’s mind.
