The planned successors to the Iowa class battleships, the Montana class were designed to be larger, more heavily armed and armoured but slower than the preceeding Iowa class.
Five ships of the class were approved but the class was cancelled in favour of Essex class aircraft carriers.
This model has been designed in 1/1800 scale but we've tested our models at various scales down to 1/6000 (at which the parts print fine but are obviously very fiddly!)
The model comes as:
Hull
All the turrets are seperate and come either with horizontal barrels (called sailing) and barrels elevated (called combat)
crane
catapult
the model also comes with sprues with the turrets, cranes and catapults.
These can make painting individual parts significantly easier.
the sprues are hollowed out with an open bottom to reduce the amount of resin needed.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
