"Crustagorons are massive, slow-moving beasts native to the wetlands and stone-heavy regions of Runaria, often found near cavern mouths and ancient passages leading into the Underdark. Their bodies resemble colossal river beasts, but are encased in layered, stone-hardened shells that form naturally over centuries of constant contact with rock and mineral-rich soil.

Though generally peaceful, Crustagorons are highly territorial. When threatened, they rely on sudden bursts of speed rather than prolonged aggression, charging with enough force to split stone and collapse weakened tunnels. Their carapace disrupts magical currents, making them unusually resistant to arcane influence and nearly immune to psychic intrusion."
