This is a giant texture roller and terrain set for making trenches through a shattered and dead forest.
Roots and mud choke this woodland front where log roads cut through a perimeter of wood-stake defences.
In this shattered woodland, thousands of boots have churned the earth into a brutal frontline. The forest itself has been torn apart, its timber and roots repurposed into a network of paths, bunkers, barricades, and lookout posts to hold the line.
With this month’s texture rollers, you can lay down vine-choked forest ground, build log paths exactly where you need them, carve out a heavily trampled battlefield packed with detail, or just become the tank, rolling over anything in your way.
Although a couple of pieces, such as the tank tracks roller, are more modern and sci-fi, the vast majority of this set will work perfectly for both wargaming and fantasy!
Texture Rollers:
-Dead Forest
This roller will make some truly incredible bases and base toppers. It shows broken trees and roots in the deep mud, with the skeletons of those who had fallen littered throughout the battlefield.
-Trench Floor or Log Road
This is a roller that we have been requested to make a few times. Planks and logs are slipping into deep, trodden mud. It should work perfectly for the bottom of trenches, but will also work for log walkways and roads through the mud and even the roof for a log bunker!
-Forest Floor
The Forest Floor roller makes for a great general-purpose roller that can be used for all sorts of tiles and bases. For this one, we went with a light scattering of leaves over roots and soil.
-Trench Wall or Log Bunker
This roller is a deviation from the previous trench-style rollers we have made, as instead of neat planks, it uses large beam logs to line the trenches. As well as being used as a roller for the walls for trenches, it is also made so that it can be used on small cardboard boxes to make log bunkers. For this, we also included some printable corner logs to make the edges neater.
-Mud, Bootprints, and Casings
It would not be a battlefield set without mud churned up with boots! This time, we added some more highly detailed boot prints and scattered spent rifle casings across the mud. This should make for some great bases for your rank and file.
-WW Tank Tracks
This roller is based on some old tracks from the pre-early WW2 period. The roller is different from the normal rollers as it is far thinner and is made to be used over the textures made by other rollers to add some detailed tank track indentations.
Scatter Terrain:
-Hollow Tree Lookout
The perfect perch for a spotter or sniper, these massive hollowed stumps provide natural cover that blends seamlessly into the environment.
-Log Bunkers
Built from cut logs and weathered planks, these bunkers protect all sides while maintaining a rough, field-built look that fits the front line.
-Modular Log Walkway
Navigate the muddy forest with this 7-piece walkway system. Cut logs keep your troops moving through difficult terrain, while spiked railings offer added protection along the way.
-Spiked Log Barricades
A mess of sharpened logs driven into packed dirt. They are quick to set up, and even quicker to stop anything coming your way.
Add-ons:
-Corner Logs
These wooden beams are made so you can use them on the corners of the trench/bunker walls, so you can make standing terrain easily without worrying about making the corner connections look good.
As always, both pre-supported and non-supported versions are included!
