Advertising Canker Guard: Nightmare Before The Plaguenight

The Cankerguard are the first in my line of Halloween-inspired Rot God models. This project follows the same style as my Herald on Palanquin and the Greater Bag Demon, all drawing from a Nightmare Before Christmas aesthetic twisted through the lens of decay and plague.

These models represent the elite wardens of the Grandfather’s
pumpkin fields. Their forms mix rotten organic textures, carved gourd-like armor, and corrupted harvest motifs to create a unique seasonal plague-theme perfect for tabletop armies or display pieces.

The Cankerguard rise each season from the Grandfather’s Blighted Fields, awakened when the harvest moon stains the garden’s sky. Born from swollen, plague-infested pumpkins, they emerge with glowing carved visages and bodies bound together by rotting vines. Silent and relentless, they patrol the fields to ensure no intruder disturbs the Grandfather’s sacred crops. When Halloween approaches in the mortal realm, the Cankerguard slip through the thinning veil, bringing with them the sickly sweetness of spoiled harvests and the Rot God’s warped idea of celebration.
