In a city built on broken backs, the Workers’ Union stands as the only voice of the working man and woman. Formed from dockers, bricklayers, machinists, laundresses, and carters, they claim to protect the rights of every honest labourer in the Five Points… though their idea of “negotiation” usually involves brass knuckles and a length of pipe.
By day they march for fair pay and safety. By night they enforce their demands with overhanded violence, coercion, and intimidation. No foreman dares cheat them, no merchant refuses their dues.
Led by the hard-bitten organiser known only as Miss Hook, the Union mixes righteous fury with ruthless pragmatism. They break strikes, start riots, and settle disputes with equal enthusiasm — proving that in the Five Points, power doesn’t come from the ballot or the bible.
