Behind every crooked deal and every vanishing witness in the Five Points lies The Spider’s Web — a network of corrupt lawmen, judges and city officials pulling strings for their own gain. They wear badges, carry ledgers and enforce the law only when it suits their pockets.

At the center sits The Spider himself — a calculating mastermind whose influence reaches from the precincts to City Hall. His enforcers and patrolmen crack skulls in the name of “justice” while his accountants and inspectors bleed the poor through taxes, fines and bribes. In a city where everyone’s guilty of something, The Spider’s Web always finds a way to tighten its grip.
