Brother Aldwin the Friar travels in a simple hooded robe tied with a rope at the waist, carrying little more than a crooked wooden staff and the sandals on his feet. With one hand held warmly against his chest and a broad smile beneath his weathered face, he has the easy manner of a man accustomed to walking from village to village, sharing meals, stories, and counsel wherever he is welcomed.

Brother Aldwin works well as a wandering friar or village holy man, fitting naturally into monasteries, churches, roadside encounters, villages, and everyday town scenes.
