The quaint but comfortable home of the hermit Cordelia. Nestled in a small clearing within Steinved Forest, Cordelia’s Cottage has been built within the stem and cap of a gargantuan red cap mushroom that she has nurtured and grown herself. With the enormous size, the mushroom has provided a sturdy home for her, and protection from the dangers of the forest where she lives in solitude.
In the glades of Steinved Forest, the young Cordelia sought for herself a place of solace and comfort, among the trees of her childhood, a place that brought her comfort and warmth even in the direst of times. It was here that she found the sprouting Giant Redcap, though it had suffered in the Liturium War, and was sickly and maimed. Healing the giant fungi, she then vowed to ensure she would not leave its side, building her abode within it, whilst keeping it healthy and alive.
Now she lives within this cottage, her place of hermitude, far away from the troubles of her past life. Yet still close enough that villagers from Nörrgus occasionally visit her for remedies that their own herbalist cannot provide them. Happily, she agrees, though still keeps her distance from them as best she can, for indeed she knows that the scarred forest needs her aid more than any villagers could.
