A paragon of the virtues embodied by the Silver Dragonkin of Azmordion. Apokris is unwavering in his convictions, believing justice, law and righteous dominion should reign above all else. He sees the war with the Darkscales as a holy crusade, one against deceit, underhandedness and dishonour. Gladly, he would personally scalp each and every one of them.
Raised in the crucible of Dragonmaw’s military class, Apokris, like his kin, were destined for either greatness, or death. By his thirteenth summer, he had already cut down five of his brethren in combat, each one a marker for his young career in service to Azmordion, or a rite of passage to adulthood. Of the brood of thirty hatched alongside Apokris, only five lived to adulthood, though Apokris and those around him were the hardiest, most seasoned fighters the Silverscales could muster from that brood, each one worth ten men from a standard rank-and-file army.
In the time his body was tempered for war, his mind was moulded for righteousness, inducted into the doctrine of the Law Keepers: the elites of Silverscale society that maintained order within Dragonmaw and the lands beyond. They were the policing force of Azmordion, as well as his most trusted enforcers. Apokris, though proving himself in the arena, found that books and scrolls bored him, yet knew to deviate from the path laid before him would be folly.
Now, decades on, he is one of the most powerful of the Silverscales, a righteous warrior with an unwavering sense of justice and devotion to his people. Still, this does not mean he is immune to turning a blind eye to the evils and atrocities committed by his own people, for his resolute nature is bound to the nature of Azmordion, and no one else. Should one try to convince him of the atrocities of his master, he will only respond with violence.
