Elite knights who have been raised in a crucible of fire and blood. Scars are common, for sparring often ends in mortal wounds and death in the early days of Azmordion’s children. Those who emerge victorious take their place among his most elite, his Chosen. Beneath them lay dozens of their slain kin, ensuring only the strongest survive and serve.

When a brood of warrior-caste Silverscales hatch, they are very quickly inducted into their own squads as soon as they can walk. Here they are groomed for battle, blood and glory, and each squad will likely only produce one capable warrior, where the rest will have perished by the time they reach adulthood. Only the most distinguished members of the crop prevail, survive and live to die on the battlefield; the chaff are discarded and killed by their betters before they have a chance.

As a result, each Knight of Azmordion is worth ten men, forcing any Darkscales who engage in combat against them to do so with subtlety, usually through poisoned arrows or attacks in the night when the soldiers are resting and have doffed their armour. But even without their protective plate, they are a formidable fighting force, with cunning tactics employed by their squad leaders. An under-prepared party would face certain death with this foe, especially if they also underestimate them.
