Raised on the decks of a dozen different merchant vessels in the Grey Sea, Trixie was forced to learn to fend for herself at a young age. Usually that meant blowing a hole through the skull of any man that tried to touch her, and scaring the rest into submission. This devil-may-care attitude earned her the rapt attention of Arakun on their first encounter, who requested she join the crew on the Gilded Seahorse.

A Nosmeni lass who was the bastard daughter of a well-regarded Belfrian merchant, spawned in short but fiery love affair with a tavern wench in one of his travels.. Her mother, a human, thus was easily able to deduce the man who fathered her child, sailing to Belfrie with the babe and dumping her on his doorstep with a note and a name: Trixie. He knew the child to be his, and despite the heavy sense of responsibility, he simply did not have the means to care for her as a man by himself, hiring wet nurses and nannies to help raise the child in her earliest years, until she was old enough to join him in her voyages. For years she would sit on the decks, reading books of adventure and heroism, watching the crew around her wait on her hand and foot, at the behest of her father. Though even in her naive youth she could tell her father saw her as little more than a burden to lug around. Around twelve summers, she simply disappeared into the midst of the crowds in a port in Baldur, never to see her father again, despite his attempts to find her.

For some years, she tried to search for her mother, first travelling to the city of Edimir for the tavern where her mother had allegedly worked, only to find it had closed down four years prior. It was after this that she began working jobs for various other inns and taverns in Baldur, hoping to find some thread to tie her to her mother, but she learned as years passed by that her kind was far less tolerated in Baldur’s heartlands and city centres than they were at the ports, or even her homeland in Belfrie. When she wasn’t outright vilified, her exotic and devilish nature was fetishized by sick patrons who would far too often push their luck. Several years after she had escaped her father’s clutches, this came to a head after one yellow-toothed patron at an inn in Nortros made an advance on her in a stupor fuelled by grog and dreampowder. He tried to put his hand between her thighs, so she put a gun between his eyes. Recoiling in fear, he shouted and cursed until every patron in the tavern turned to see the Nosmeni woman with the barrel of a gun pressed against the cowardly man’s forehead.

But the crowd didn’t bat an eye: this sort of behaviour was expected from her, and was only dished out to the scum who drew it out of her. Thus she began to acquire a reputation across Nortros for her attitude, her path eventually crossing with Arakun’s, who had heard tales of the hot-headed lass from across the sea, wishing to see her in action the next time he made port in Nortros. She was a sight to behold, and it seemed many sailors flocked to this tavern to catch sight of the whirlwind of a wench that hawked grog and grub across the floor with a temper that would scare even a hardy sailor out his boots. Trixie took note of the gargantuan Colossal when he entered, but would not encounter him until later when he had done his share of observation of the Nosmeni woman. He approached her, telling her to leave the watering hole she was trapped in and sail the seas with him and his crew and instead, where she would earn stones of gold more than what she made now. Her response was to draw her weapon on him, thinking his forwardness was more a ploy to bed her, though he immediately overpowered her, crushing the gun in his hands before repeating his offer.

Trixie found herself infatuated after this, following in Arakun’s footsteps and joining the crew of the Gilded Seahorse thereafter. The two have remained as lovers since, and she often enjoys favours from the First Mate at the ire of the rest of the crew. Fiona in particular holds much disdain for Trixie, seeing the young Nosmeni girl as a mirror of herself, though she chose to abandon the lavish life her father afforded her, while Fiona’s was snatched from her. As such, the two often butt heads.
