A silent watcher from atop the spires of Castle Beaufax. The Bell Tower Gargoyle has watched over the eerie fortress for centuries, even in its years of abandonment, looters and vagabonds would find violent ends at the hands of the enchanted stone guardian. Whilst the creatures are bound to the will of the de Blanc family, Noctra herself has no way to directly control them, and thus warns guests from engaging in any activity that might displease the creatures.
A stone guardian that has sat atop the battlements and spires of Castle Beaufax for centuries. The Bell Tower gargoyle was a sculpture commissioned by a member of the de Blanc family during the Second Era, yet came to life during the fateful night that Noctra would slaughter her family. When their blood painted the halls of Beaufax, the eyes of the sentinel awakened. For centuries, it watched over the empty grounds of the castle, as time wore it away and looters would try to find their fortune in its depths. The gargoyle ensured that they never ventured far, however.
Among locals, Castle Beaufax earned a reputation as a cursed place: any who entered did not leave. Those who dared to cross over the crumbling walls or squeeze through the rusted portcullis would be swiftly assailed by the stony sentinel, their bodies torn limb from limb or splattered against the stonework. Even seasoned adventurers and rogues emboldened by their prowess were no match for it, with the creature able to break apart any shield that might deter its attacks, and pinpoint thieves even obscured by invisibility within the grounds.
Now, with Noctra returning and filling the halls with guests, the gargoyle has had a change in its disposition, only showing aggression at those who might show aggression to Noctra, or aim to do her harm. Still, however, that includes thieves, and those whose intents within the walls are to leave with a piece of maliciously acquired luxury will often meet a violent end at the hands of the gargoyle, often to the annoyance of Noctra who has no direct control over the creature.
