A vampiric thrall clad in plate, his marred face obscured. Visage has become a relentless figure of Baroness Noctra’s authority - her forward facing enforcer whose inhuman strength would see him cleave a man in twain should they oppose his mistress. Visage’s will, however, is barely his own. His body moves to the pull of Noctra’s strings, and his mind is merely a passenger.

Little is known of Visage by Noctra’s court, save for his sudden appearance a year after their arrival in Castle Beaufax. Noctra claims him to be a foolhardy adventurer who was caught on the castle grounds, though rumours swirl when bloodied wine flows, accusing him of being a past lover who scorned her. Other rumours claim he was a Paladin of Erdrydion, sent to rid Beaufax of its dark damsel, or that he is her late husband, resurrected from the family catacombs, thus the Baroness’ strict forbiddance to the labyrinth beneath the castle.

Whilst the truth may never be known, there is a certainty that where Noctra steps, Visage will follow in her shadow. An ever-watchful guardian who does not endure sleep, nor food. In her bedchamber, he stands vigilant. In her trips into the catacombs, he is the only one permitted to follow. While she feasts upon the delightful ripened blood of her guests, Visage silently watches on. No words are ever uttered by him, and an empty haunting stare is all that is given by his otherwise haunting, pallid porcelain mask.
