A servant of Glanion who has battled much evil in the years since Hinatal rose from beneath the desert sands. She is considered an elite servant of the Great Sun Glanion, and has thus been tasked by her Church to seek out the apparent interlopers near the city’s borders, and attempt to drive them away. Yet she now finds herself bound to their cause, for the common enemy they share.

Hitalia, like all Elves of Hinatal, remembers the Sunless Days. The centuries they spent buried beneath the desert, faith in Glanion wavering as the nobles began to push their newly concocted faith of Unity in a desperate bid to bind together Men and Elves during those dire times. Yet, the Pillars of Unity crumbled as soon as they were no longer needed. Hinatal rose to the surface, and the blood of Elves and Men flowed in the streets as centuries of Unity turned to dust overnight. She was no innocent in the conflict: scores of Men tried to destroy the Temple of Glanion and break into the Spire, and only bloodshed would turn them away.

Years later, it would be uncovered that the crumbling of Unity within Hitalia was a scheme of Seroca, a means to undermine the Holy City of Glanion and throw it into civil war, weakening it as it was beset by enemies old and new. Hitalia fought, again and again. Against her kin, against the forces of Sultan Hakim, and against Mindoriel’s Spawn. She became a seasoned warrior, like all her kin. Though what set Hitalia apart from the rest was her desire to understand the land that Tharador had become since their city was swallowed by sand. She was different to the Outriders whose goal was to scout and map out their immediate surroundings: Hitalia sought to both proselytise Glanion and understand those who she spoke of him to.

No greater a target came to her than the sudden appearance of interlopers hailing from the Church of the Tharameni just a few dozen miles from Hinatal. Though the Church of Glanion has asked her to kindly move the interlopers along, or drive them away through fearful tales, she hopes to gain knowledge of their lives instead. Though unbeknownst to Hitalia, her fate is already entwined with this group, and will have ramifications far beyond which she or her kin could ever see.
