A bastard child of Baldur’s royal house of Grimshaw, Sara was raised in a convent of the Church of the Tharameni, though closely watched by her lineage. When it was discovered that she held a natural affinity to Minera’s Breath and Cedhelieth, Sara was sent to Draksborne for tutoring in her newfound gift. When her training had completed, Sarah was inducted into Baldur’s Royal Court as the Court Healer. When rebellion arose however, she was sent away for fear of her being slain or taken as a hostage, joining the Church in Belfrie. Now she wears the pauldrons of her homeland with pride as she joins the expedition to Sudd Tohst.

Born from an illicit affair of Princess Elena and one of her tutors, Sara’s birth was heavily concealed from the public for the same it would bring upon the royal family. When Elena gave birth to a girl, it was decided that the child would be raised in a convent of the Church, though closely monitored by the royal family until she came of age. Until the age of thirteen, she had no knowledge of her royal heritage, and when the revelation eventually came, the young girl’s world came crashing down. It was here that the clergy of Tharanais in the convent noticed Sara’s affinity for Minera’s Breath, with magic beginning to pool around her in her grief.

Passing this message back to the Grimshaw family, the King ultimately decided for his bastard grandchild to be sent to Draksborne for tutoring at Canos University. There she found herself naturally drawn to restorative magic and the healing arts. She graduated years later, called back to Baldur where she would finally be given the privilege of being reunited with her family. There she was given the role as the Court Healer, a bid to keep her close in the off chance any of the crown’s enemies learned of her heritage. When the violent uprisings began, Sara was given back to the Church with instructions to send her to Belfrie to protect her, less the rebels take her as a hostage.

There she has spent the last year, healing veterans of the Liturium War across Belfrie, Formen and Leacianus. The Church’s goal in the conquered land of the High Elves was to proselytise the Tharameni to pagans who had long worshipped Brinilmin, a false idol and corrupted child of Tharador. Though with the war so fresh, many of Leacianus’ citizens were less than willing to try hear out the word of the Tharameni from their conquerors, and met the missionaries with violence. Sara had several close brushes with death, but prevailed every time earning her respect and admiration from her peers as a cleric of Cedhelieth who also wore the heart of a warrior. Thus when they sought for members of their expedition into Sudd Tohst, Sara was among the first to write her name down.
