A Nosmeni who escaped Nosmarka’s Abyss in rebellion after her people were sent to slaughter in Velandria several years ago. While she had dreams of uniting the Nosmeni of Minera and creating their own nation, she realises that is a far away dream, for her people are scattered and her resources upon Minera are limited. The Crucible is her hope to secure gold, funding and the eye of Xarvir Barikdral.

A Nosmeni noblewoman from the Seventh Reverie of Nosmarka’s Abyss. Constant war and conflict was all she ever knew, for it was all her home ever was. Each Nosmeni in her home was trained for war, and would die a thousand deaths every year. When Nosmarka plotted her invasion of Tharador through Velandria, the Matriarch was chosen as one of the leaders for the forces of the Abyss, but they were quickly cut down by the Selvaneri, led to slaughter soon after they arrived on Tharador.

Nosmarka had led them astray, purposefully sending them to their deaths to further instigate a war against Tharador. She escaped the fighting, barely, blending in as a Nosmeni citizen of Belfrie thereafter, trying to find a new life for herself in the fringes of an alien society. War no longer surrounded her. Peace did. It was unnerving. Unnatural. The only reprieve she could find from peace was in the bounds of the Crucible, where blood was spilled constantly and she could sate her thirst for battle. She has been there since, though come to recognise a familiar face, calling himself the Captain. Whilst she has not divulged the true identity of her fellow Nosmeni, nor even approached him, she keeps a watchful eye on him.

Now she is well renowned by her stagename as The Matriarch. A long list of victories lay behind her, with more ahead. Yet she still remains watchful and cautious. For Nosmarka searches for those she has lost, and her death here would mean her return to the Abyss, and punishment for her disappearance.
